Naru[b]bx[/b]Sasu!

A big pairing out there, I figure it has to be put up here. Lot of people like it. Lot of people hate it. Personally, I'm for it, but I'm willing to veer off the path into NaruHina land...

THIS PAIRING ANNOYS ME!
SasuxNaru is a complete retard couple, as most reasons for it are completely unfounded and somewhat dumb.
e.g.
"they kissed!" = Yes, but for gods sake, this was a god damn accident, nothing more, no matter how much you want it to be.
"Naruto's chasing after Sasuke!" = Again, yes. But a major misconception. Naruto is looking for Sasuke for his promise for sakura, and for his own feelings toward Sasuke as a Brother, NOT a boyfriend.

I know many crazy fangirls like this pairing, but it isnt going to happen- ever. If anything, Naruto is most likely a pervert-in-the-making, as Jiraiya has that influence. Anyway, NaruxHina is waaaaaaaaay cuter.
Thats right, mr emo has a soft spot for NaruxHina. Get over it bitches.

I don't really care,who ends up with who.But the kiss was just to give the Naru-luvers a laugh.And if I had my way, Sasuke would end up with Hinata,and Naruto would end up with Sakura.

Talk about a deep and unnecessary rant against SasuNaru fics...

Well, I believe to each their own. If somebody wants to read and/or write the pairing it is their decision. Nobody makes anyone read it.

To be fair though, most SasuNaru fanfiction is absolutely horribly written as the authors tend just to want to force the pair together. I'm actually not a fan of them getting together. Hinata deserves some serious love and I like her with Naruto or Sasuke.

Just like to point out that not ALL SasuNaru fics are bad. Yes, my SasuNaru (Reviving the Clan – find it on TONFA) fic is bad. REALLY bad. But it’s a crack fic, so it’s kinda supposed to be. It was spawned off a REALLY long, boring art class in which we started discussing fic ideas we’d been sitting on for a while. I mentioned that I wanted to get Naruto preggers for the halariosity of it (Yes, that is now a word! SCREW WEBSTER!), and BAM! I started writing Reviving the Clan. Though now it’s trailing off into NaruHina land, which has left me stumped… I don’t know how to continue! Oh well… it wasn’t that good anyway. Maybe I’ll add to it later on… Anywho, I’m babbling…
Yeah, there all a lot of bad SasuNaru fics out there, but that’s for the same reason there are so many bad Zutara fics out there. It’s hard to make it work. However, there are some GREAT Zutara fics out there, despite that (My favorite? The King of Naught. Both on LJ and FF), and there are some GREAT SasuNaru ones out there too.

I do see the appeal of NaruHina – like I said, I often find myself veering onto that path. It’s just so kawaii! And it’s got a strong chance of actually happening, so… Yeah. It’s good. It’s possible. I do enjoy it.
SasuHina though? I really just can’t see it! Even though I wrote a SasuHina fic once… It was supposed to be a NaruHina, but I was listing to the radio, eating, and typing at the same time, so my hands got carried away, and next thing I knew… BAM! SasuHina.
One Hinata ship I can’t stand is HidaHina. I’m sorry, people, but NO! It’s just so wrong! It would never work! Besides, Hidan is a JASHANIST! He can’t touch WOMEN! It’s against his religion, people! Not to mention the age difference… (Though age difference doesn’t stop me supporting KakaSaku…)

Maybe I just like SasuNaru because I like yaoi… hmm… Yeah. Probably…

I have read some fantastic SasuNaru fanfiction, but for the most part a lot of what I encounter now is basically dreadful. I think that happens any time that a pairing becomes popular though. It is flooded with young authors who haven't really the experience with reading or writing fanfiction to know what it takes to make a good story.

I've seen writers on FF post seven single chapter fics at a time. None of which had good or even original plot ideas.

As for your fic, I'm sure it is not as bad as you perceive it. We are our own worst critic, I believe the saying goes. Besides, it's hard for Crack fics to be bad anyway as campy cheesy humour can win almost anyone over.

You say it's bad, but from my experience and to be cliche, that is what they all say. Take my friend Jia. Shakespeare Lives is one of her most adored fics and she thinks it to be absolute rubbish. I suppose that can be chalked up to her being more of an angst writer.

I swear it's true. The third-worst peice I've done. I'm full of myself, so you know that if I'M saying it's bad, then it's really bad. Funn, though. Or so people say... I have no editor for it, and that doesn't help. Kima's being lazy and has refused to edit all my crack fics. Acctually, she's refused to edit anything until I work on 'History Repeats Itself' again...

The I-won't-touch-anything-else-until-you-resume-working-on-blank-project is tactic number 329-a in the Beta's handbook. I use the same thing to get above mentioned author (Jia) to get back to work on above mentioned fic (Shakespeare Lives) because I love it.

She uses the same excuse. To be fair, it is safe to say she's won. I still beta for her (only because I can't stand to see her posting spelling errors and the like while I am known as her beta!) and she has yet to update in more than a year...

A year? Ouch. She'll update someday...

I think SasuNaru is quite canon, but I don't like it very much... if we stay in yaoi I prefer ItaSasu and SaiNaru, for het I like NaruSaku and SasuHina.
